Daniel Heath Justice

Comprised of 31 Native literacy programs across Ontario. The ONLC is committed to
developing culturally relevant learning materials, developing and implementing a computer
The ONLC is a non-profit, charitable organization and has been incorporated since 1988. It is operated by a volunteer Board of Directors, an Executive Director and support staff. Individuals and organizations can be members of the ONLC for a nominal fee. The ONLC is one of four provincial umbrella organizations funded by the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities and provides services for Native literacy practitioners and learners in Ontario. Mission – The Ontario Native Literacy Coalition empowers holistic growth of Native People, their families and communities by providing culturally sensitive learning environments. Vision – We want more Native People to be literate such that their spirit is empowered and we ensure survival.
