The True Yellowknives (Tatsanottine) Recognition Page
I am attempting to create public awareness of the Yellowknives tribe, they were well known to the Franklin expedition in the 1820s. In 1900 they were the largest tribe to sign Treaty 8 in 1900. In the 1950s they numbered 150. Today, another tribe has taken their identity - my web page documents this sad plight of the true
Yellowknives (AKA Taltson River/Rocher River People) - a Native Canadian tribe.

To the Totem Forests
Emily Carr and Contemporaries Interpret Coastal Villages is the first exhibit in which the voice of First Nations people is used to describe drawings, paintings and prints which were created by Emily Carr, Walter Phillips, A.Y. Jackson, George Pepper, Langdon Kihn and F.M. Bell-Smith. This voice, through first-person testimony and anthropological records provides context for the artworks and corrects some misinterpretations unwittingly introduced by the artists.
