Pic Mobert First Nation
The Pic Mobert First Nation occupies the Pic Mobert South and Pic Mobert North Reserves which are located 82km and 72km east of Marathon, Ontario and cover 14.6 hectares. The reserves are home to 308 Anishinabek with another 315 band members living away from the reserves.
The name Pic Mobert has been in use since the early 1970s. Pic is in reference to the Pic River and the Pic Heron Bay Band, the band in which our ancestors had separated from to form a new band on White Lake.
