Maskwachees Cultural College is a private community college located within the Four Nations of Hobbema, Alberta, Canada. We offer programs from Basic Adult Literacy, two year College Diplomas, to University Transfer programs. Programs are holistic, allow students to find their place and build on their knowledge to develop socially, emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually, to become stronger in all these ways while using the powerful philosophy of Native existence and the uniqueness of being Native.

Our objectives: To assist and provide services to individual Bands in the exercise of their jurisdiction over education. To assist individual Bands in the administration and management of education for the Mi'kmaq Nation in Nova Scotia. To provide the Mi'kmaq Nation in Nova Scotia a facility to research, develop and implement initiatives and new directions in the education of Mi'kmaq people.

Native Access to Engineering
In the Fall of 1993, The Faculty of Engineering and
Computer Science at Concordia University entered
into a formal agreement with l'Ordre des ingénieurs
du Québec (OIQ) to conduct research and identify
strategies to increase the representation of
Aboriginal people in the engineering profession. A
Joint Working Group on Native Access to
Engineering was established to guide and oversee
the work of the Project Co-ordinator.

Native Education Centre
The Native Education Centre in Vancouver has been offering culturally relevant education and training programs to the Aboriginal community since 1967. In response to community needs and through several regimes of governance and direction the Centre has developed and grown from the initial enrollments of 12
to 14 students at any one time to current enrollments of over 300 students.
